Amara Watersports is commited to building upon Thailand's existing heritage as a Country that produces fine sports people and together with like minding companies, organisations and individuals we would like to play our part in further growing Thailand's Water Sports Culture.

Hawaii, Calafornia and Australia come immediately to mind as benefiting from a strong Water-Sports Culture. Thailands beaches, inland waterways and wetlands will  be in good hands forever if we can encourage current and future generations to love, respect appreciate and learn from them as we do.

Amara Watersports have launched TIKI SCHOOL  in Thailand with the following Mission

Work with groups of people to help them gain confidence and skill in a range of easy water sports while having fun in a safe natural environment.

Stand Up Paddle Boarding - SUP
Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) - has taken the worlds water sports cultures by storm. Hawaii, Australia, France, England and California, have been the traditional leaders, now we see SUP spreading through the waterways and the media in every country.

Thousands of years before Humankind Sailed, we paddled. In our ever increasingly complex existence, the simplicity and directness of SUP is enriching people's lives on many levels.

The joy of surfing, the versatility of kayaking without the weight, SUP brings you the primordial regal-ness of Standing on your own two feet and essentially "taking a stroll" on any body of water, anywhere.

SUP is the work-out, without the work, the speed of the wave, the glide on flat water, the mystery around the next river-bend and we feel very lucky to share this with you.

We walk on two legs - a skill that in itself can take over 1 year to learn. With SUP, we take this basic skill and develop it so that you can effectively walk on water - develop it just littl further and you can surf.

In 3 decades Amara Watersports have never before seen a water-sport where people learn so fast. The skill development potential is without end, yet the progress, sense of achievement and physical improvement come rapidly.

SUP teaches us that by remaining supple and attentive, we can stand firm and move towards our goals, while staying connected to our surroundings no matter how unstable they become.

Windsurfing
Over the last 10 years Windsurfing has been made more and more easy to teach and to learn. That is why the number of new people being attracted to the sport is growing wherever there is wind and water.

Its easy and its fun, a sail, a board, a mast and a boom. Then you're off. The boards are now so well balanced, that you do not need catlike balance and the sails are lightweight with sizes for small kids to grown ups.

Windsurfing can be inexpensive and the equipment lasts for many years. You do not need gas or oil, no costly extras and the wind is free. You can learn windsurfing within the first session. Kids love it and with our sails and boards they will windsurf within the first hour.

Windsurfing is unique in that it provides no more than that which you need. Teaching the rider to fully understand and cooperate with the situation at hand.

The Sail only produces just enough power to move the rider, only through skill and patience can the full power be brought fourth and used. Diligence and calm application are rewarded with blistering yet controlled speed.

The ultimate reward of understanding the forces of our natural world is the new found freedom to travel fast and light in the wilderness environment.
