Amara's at Blue Lagoon Pattaya

Amara Water Sports, now based at Blue Lagoon Pattaya Water Sports Centre on Soi 14 Naa Jomtien, just south of the City of Pattaya in the Gulf of Thailand. has been teaching and taking care of people in Thailand since 1978

Former World Windsurfing Freestyle Champion, SEA Games Windsurf Racing gold medalist and Olympic Athlete, Amara Wichithong competed for Thailand in Windsurfing for 25years. She is a serious competitor in Sailing, and was also a stunt water skier.

Now as was her dream, she runs her own Watersports Club. Her husband and the AMW team are also the largest Wholesale and Retail outlet for Windsurfing and Stand Up Paddle Boards and supplies. We also supply equipment for other Water Sports such as Hobie Catamarans and Kayaks. The focus is on Health, Family, Fun and Environment.

The Sports Centre on the beach at Blue Lagoon Pattaya is a secluded Paradise, an almost private sandy beach with year round winds. A great place to bring your family and get away from Bangkok for the weekend.

Below are some Maps to show you how to get to Blue Lagoon Pattaya Water Sports Centre.

Blue Lagoon Pattaya - How to get to there

The View Restaurant has opened at Blue Lagoon - Follow their signs to get to us! - After another good day on the water with your friends, now you can enjoy live music and fine dining as the sun sets at Blue Lagoon.

The View Logo - look for this sign to find our club

Getting around in Pattaya - local transport

Baht Busses - This is a modified Dark Blue Pick-up truck with 2 rows of seats + standing room in the back. Also called "Song Taews", these vehicles travel on circuits through Pattaya. The white ones travel up and down Sukhumvit Road, which is the main Arterial road of Pattaya running North-South.

The cheapest way to to get to Amara Watersports - is to catch a Dark Blue Baht bus to Sukhumvit, then flag down a white one and catch that out to where we are Soi 14 Naa Jomtien - look out for the sign to "The View" Restaurant, 200M after the Shell petrol Station, which will be on the right if you are coming from Pattaya or Bangkok. Then simply walk the last 300M, following the signs for "The View". We are next door to "The View".

If you get to the Ambassador Hotel - you have gone too far by about 400M. Have  a look at the map on this page, and perhaps carry a small print out with our phone numbers on it. You can always give our phone number to a taxi driver if you get stuck.

A short trip on a Baht Bus will cost 10THB each person and a long trip will cost 20THB each. So a trip to us will usually cost you 30-40THB one way. If you ask the driver to make a dedicated trip from Pattaya it may cost 300-400THB each way.
